Default Bronze Tailpipes and Puddle Lights

If anyone has received a 24 Cayenne with the bronze tailpipes, please post some pics (especially if the car is Montego Blue)! Also, If anyone's received a car with the Under Door Puddle Lights, please let us know if they're bright enough to actually illuminate anything. My wife's GLE450 shines a large Mercedes star that does show if you're about to step into anything, but the puny "PORSCHE" doesn't look like much in the configurator.

The puddle lights are mediocre at best. I saw them at my local dealer and they're not great.

its a crying shame they got rid of the black tailpipes. Bronze is offputting on most colors

1. Agreed
2. Maybe. I have until December until my hybrid freezes, so I have time to be sure.

I recommend getting silver and going to a shop to get it painted black or something. It's just the tips so it shouldn't cost much

The bronze does not look "bronze" at all. Looks more like black chrome. It might have a slight hue of bronze at some angles, but it 100% matches the gloss black accents of the vehicle.

Exactly this. It is very dark but to be honest I have not seen it in very bright sunlight.

That’s what I’ve been thinking. Hopefully someone can photograph some in the wild.

i haven’t seen in person.
this is from the Porsche configuration page which implies they will match high gloss black trim.

personally, I plan on ordering with the dark bronze if they match high gloss.

Agreed, but the Porsche Configurator is a bad source for color comparisons. Especially for an item that looks different in different lighting.

mine came without, I bought two to put on the front doors (that was what was in stock) fully intending to return for two more. 2 minute install btw. These are just decorative and worthless. The puddle lights on my AMG, now that’s what a puddle light is supposed to be. I never went back for the remaining two. That tells you how I feel about it. Besides, I don’t carry passengers in the back and barely drive at night.

I wonder if the Merc lights would fit? I’m a big function over form guy, so I don’t care what they actually project as long as they’re functional.

I would like to ask this: I did not choose the porsche logo lights since I do not want or care to show the logo. I expect though the doors to come with a normal light, no? If not can I add a normal light but not the porsche logo one?

Does the ambinet interior lighting somehow affect this?

IMO, the puddle lights are great. Visible in bright sunlight and very bright in off light. Here’s a pic including the illuminated door sill guards in carbon fiber.
