Rear Axle Steer & Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC)

It’s unclear what “usual” is. There were reports on this site that some vehicles were built with AGM batteries “due to shortage” of LiFePO4 batteries. A pattern of year/model/option content for this has not definitively been established. The Li is very expensive to replace, the AGM is “normal” at a couple hundred $.

In addition to the advantages mentioned above, PDCC can soften ‘hits” by letting the Sway Bar have 0 resistance. Adding the PDCC option also includes a 48 volt Super Capacitor battery in the cargo area.
If you want the best Sporty ride in a heavy SUV, then get both PDCC and RWS. Some casual drivers may not notice the difference.

It's not in the option list for the U.S. market 2024 Cayenne due to it becoming a standard feature. The OP is in the U.K. where it is apparently still an option.
Funny, every non-Porsche vehicle I've purchased for 30+ years has had speed sensitive power steering as standard equipment. I thought it was supper strange when I bought the 2022 Cayenne last summer that it was optional.

Really useful information to here so far.
Despite the generally positive feedback, I’m leaning more (excuse the pun) on the side of skipping both.
I’ve already gone ott on the options, I am slightly concerned about, introducing an element of artificial feel, worrying about knocking the system, tyre wear and I tow a heavy trailer occasionally.
I am still on the fence though
Appreciate the input

So true. A few years back, I bought a 2020 Cayenne Turbo, went with RAS, but skipped PDCC. The Turbo drove very nicely, but every time I drove down Ridge Park Drive (in Newport Coast), I felt the sway around the curves, and regretted not going for PDCC. And on this forum there was a bit of non-PDCC shaming, by good natured posters: they had a point.
In the end, it worked out just fine because I ordered a Turbo GT (that has every handling option known to Porsche included as standard), and I sold the 2020 Turbo to a local high end used car dealer, who was enthralled by the condition, color, interior leather, and never asked about PDCC. This was during Covid times, and they purchased it at close to original MSRP.
I'm not promoting either RAS or PDCC, but they are nice to have -- especially if you keep the vehicle a long time. That said, I'd probably skipped them on a Base, S, and likely a Hybrid.

I drove two Cayenne Turbos back to back with and without PDCC. It makes a difference even with uneven roads and head toss in transfers. And on a spirited corner the car is significantly more stable. I ended up adding it to my spec after that comparison because it was just a more pleasant drive all around. Air suspension is also night and day. Would 110% add that. RAS I did not get to compare back to back but figured why not add it if I’m getting all the others.
