@Schnave my parts guy at Hendrick Porsche found this link. https://www.gerritsautomotive.nl/en/...d+kit/16024668

I tried to order one but they don’t ship to the US. I may try to order one this summer and have it shipped to my brother in law in Switzerland to bring over.

I've never understood storing a first aid kit in a portion of a vehicle likely to get crushed in a common crash scenario. For decades, Mercedes put their first aid kits in the interior since it's more likely to be intact after a crash. But now Mercedes is putting their first aid kits in rear cargo areas. I would have preferred to store a first aid kit in the Cayenne's interior but couldn't identify a good place. I bought the Porsche first aid kit from Suncoast, augmented it with additional items and attached it to the side wall of the cargo area where it could be accessed from the interior.

According to my salesman during the delivery orientation, that's what those storage compartments are for but I didn't find information about them in the owners manual. The length of a compact umbrella when closed can be no more than 11 5/8 inches if it's going to fit. No more than 11 1/2 inches in length is a better practical maximum length so that you don't have to cram it in. Of the six compact umbrellas I carried in the Toyota Sienna that the Cayenne replaced, only two are short enough to fit in the Cayenne's seat front storage compartments. It would have been nice to have similar storage compartments for Cayenne's rear passengers but that would be two much to ask. Wouldn't be cool if Porsches came with umbrellas stored in the doors a la Roll Royce and even Skoda which is owned by VAG?.

I recently discovered this in my 2024 TEH. It looks like a light sensor but it's in a very strange place. I can't find this item in the parts catalog.
Does anyone know what it is?

Just looked under the seat and found the compartments.
Tucked an umbrella in the driver side.

It definitely looks like infrared LED.

I also have one in my 2019 Turbo. I stuck my finger behind the panel and felt an electrical connector. Time for the borescope!

Indeed, it has an electrical connector which just so happens to have a part number. It was difficult to see the number though . . .

A little photo enhancement yields a part # 7PP907527B.

A quick Google search yielded the answer: An interior temperature sensor.

Mystery solved!

Interior temperature sensor, aka "sniffer".

I will check for it tomorrow.

Thank you Schnavefor solving the mystery. It didn't occur to me to look at it from inside with a borescope.

However, it is strange to place this sensor in this place. It only measures the temperature in the driver's zone. With 2 or 4 zone air conditioning this does not seem optimal to me. Unless there are other temperature sensors that we have not discovered.

I have the sensor near the steering column. Not too far away from the 958 placement.
