Insane Insurance Quote?
Cost to insure my 911 Turbo S (MSRP 233K): $700 and some change for 6 months.
Cost to insure Cayenne Turbo with same coverages as the 911: $2062 for 6 months.
Statefarm.. Is my agent puffing on the crackpipe? The agent who gave me the deal on the 911 insurance is not the same one whose quoting me on the Cayenne. Any other solid insurance recommendations (not Geico)?

$700 for 6 months was great IMO. $100 deductible, full coverage, glass etc. That's about $100 a month where the Cayenne for the same coverage is triple the cost. Does this seem right?

Not for the Cayenne. For reference I just paid $1757 for a year's coverage on a 2019 Cayenne and 2009 Trailblazer. Pretty much standard coverage with $0 deductible on comprehensive and $100 deductible on collision with Auto-Owners. We previously we with Allstate and were paying $2100 for six months. Bundled with homeowners' insurance for more savings. Homeowners policy was about $1k less than Allstate as well. Paid for year up front for maximum savings on both.Might be worth going to their website.

Really hard to compare what others are paying due to location, annual miles and bundling. In my opinion it’s a waste of money to have a deductible less than $1k on either comp or collision. I always have full glass coverage which I just opened a claim to have the windshield replaced. The 2022 GTS is less than half of what you were quoted, but again I have bundled all insurance which gets discounts. I have been with Farmers since I was kicked off my Dads insurance in 1975 due to buying a new “high risk” car.

Yes, that is insane. Currently @ $520/6months for my 2019 S. Also have a 2022 GLS and it is slightly higher at $540/6months.

Does the Cayenne replace another State Farm insured vehicle? If not, they may treat it as a new policy without the long term policy holder benefit. I was looking to add a fourth car but didn’t because of the crazy price for a new policy.

Our 23 Cayenne Turbo is $691.00 a year. 23 Macan GTS is $658.00 a year, and our 22 911 GTS is $591.00 a year. We also have homeowners with them. The Hanover Insurance Group. $1000 deductible.

Thanks for the responses.
It did replace a previous car. I'm thinking it's the new agent, not as much as a go getter. Up selling type on other nonsense. Time for some new inquiries.
I've had a really bad time dealing with Statefarm when their driver was at fault. Also hate Geico.

it's really super vast so many factors (all of which have already been pointed out) each person is different, but I think it comes down to tolerance level for risk. for me, until my 911 I never had anything more than liability only (CA min req'd) for decades.
