Will CarPlay adaptor drain battery?

I am considering purchase of a CarPlay adaptor as I don't want to risk the Porsche warranty to do the remote coding. Does anyone know whether plugging this thing all the time in the car would drain the battery or cause any damage to the battery of Cayenne? Thanks.

Does the USB port work while the car is off? I don’t think so, so the answer is no, it won’t drain the battery.

but why do you think the remote coding will void the warranty?

Do you have any information that its traceable or heard of someone that got their warranty void for having their wireless carplay activated?

I would just do the coding. These adapters are horrible.

I wouldn't worry about warranty, as it's all Porsche software files. Just unlocking some things that previously weren't enabled.

I did the same in my Audi S4 with lane keep assist and never had an issue with warranty.
