Default Did my 2 year service on my '21 GTS Cayenne

'21 Cayenne GTS (V8 Twin Turbo) Oil and Filter, and Cabin Pollen Filter, 2 years old, 13,315 miles. My total costs for oil / filters was $ 166. There's a lot ot tupperware to take off to access the oil filter, most of it snaps off and there are a few screws to undo. The bottom pan is best done with a 1/4" Air ratchet or similar, as there are a LOT of fasteners holding on the carbon fiber underbody panel that comes off. I think about 20 in total. Oil change was about 2 hours including resetting the maintenance reminder, the pollen filter another 30 minutes. Old pollen filter that was in from the factory is on the right in the photos. I skipped the two year brake fluid flush and will delay that until its warmer out, but those are never hard to do. If you have experience with oil services before and some decent tools and a place to dispose of the oil, it's not difficult. You will need an Autocom or similar electronic device to reset the Service Reminders.

I also discovered where the battery is on the vehicle! I had never looked for it before....under a panel on the passenger footwell when you remove the floor mat. Much better place than on prior generation Cayennes that required you to remove the driver's seat to access.

Well done. What is the reason to remove the fender ledge trim panels?

I just had my 958 Diesel do an "annual service" and the amount I got charged makes me cringe. I love seeing that on the 9Y0's it's just as easy as on the 958's as I plan on doing my own changes most often.

All those panels have to come off in order to drill down into the oil filter area. You start by taking off the hood latch (there is a clip that slides out). Here's a pretty good video of the reverse process, though its no where as difficult as the maker's comments would make it seem. Also, you do not need to dissemble the air cleaner as he does in the video, simply remove it as a unit.

Good to know air filter can be taken out along with the air box. I did take out the filter when removing the airbox.

Did you jack up the entire car or only the front axle for the oil change?

I just jacked up the front two wheels at the proper points behind the front wheels, then back the two jacks up with jackstands. It's very easy to drain the oil once you get the fasteners off the cover shield and there are a lot of those. You'll be there some time with a hand-ratchet.

I have about 5 drain plugs and the washers which came with oil filters that I bought from Suncoast.
I use the topside oil extractor and no use for these.
Please DM your address if you want these, I will just send them to you.

What model / engine do you have that allows you to use an oil extractor? I'd love to use one on my TGT, but I thought it wasn't possible on the V8's.

I have a base model which has an oil extraction tube.
