I went for it now
The gts is perfect for me..in 2014 i waited in lieu of buying the last gts..regretted it for years..as in my opinion they screwed up the next version
Bird in hand, ill take what is about perfecf for now and wait for next gts to sort out
I tried turno gt and own rsq8..both too much for my daily puttering

Yes we are blessed to be able to even own such cars. It's hard though with the interest rates on used cars right now as well. If you buy something now and dump it in Jan, you're gonna take a hit.

I'm in this same dilemma as well. I'm thinking to either get a 2019-2020 Base Cayenne for $50's, then get the 2025 GTS once it's available.
OR go with a 2020 Turbo in the $80's now and just keep it longer term.
Curious: do we think the prices will drop hard(er) once the 2024's are officially on the road, or have they already taken the depreciation hit?

Go for a 2018. About $35k. ~2019 facelift with new PCM, read problematic.
"or have they already taken the depreciation hit?"
Depreciation and Porsche should not be in the same "sentence." What is the price for the smiles? If worried about depreciation, I'd just buy a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The later will also get me from point A to point B. And a oil change is <$50 at wally world; Cayenne at a Porsche (s)dealership >$1200

Buy a Cayenne diesel. As long as you don't overpay, you may not have much depreciation. I drove mine for six years and sold it for $2,000 less than what I paid for it from a P dealer with CPO.
