However, as probably most of you have found out by now,
the porsche finder is not a great source of information, as the data is often inaccurate or outdated.
In the majority of cases where you find a match for your search in finder, the car is either no longer available, or was never available when you visit the actual dealer's website.
There are also many cars available on dealer website that never make it to finder....
Not exactly helpful!
Being a software engineer, I wrote a web scraper that fetches data directly from over 150 US dealers and provides real time vehicle availability.
I am currently using this for my own vehicle search,
I was wondering if anyone else is interested in this...
(could potentially productize this or just make my script available via open source)
Let me know!

PS: I would also be happy to help Porsche improve their finder tool if they are open to that, I specialize in data and API's in my day job...
Are you still willing to share how you scrape dealer websites? Seems like a much better workaround than what seems to be required as of this week on Finder where you have to search enough cities from where the 500 mile radii cover the entire US.

you can override the range (default is 50 and can select from the filters up to 500) by manually changing the distance in the URL.
near the end see the range selected in my search "500"
s&position=Seattle%2C47.6061389%2C-122.3328481%2C500&order=closest
change this to an * and it will find all.
s&position=Seattle%2C47.6061389%2C-122.3328481%2C*&order=closest

Hero status. Thank you.

Now if they could just make “rubystar” not “red” and have a search for PTS colors.

The search radius limitation is gone. You should now be able to search nationwide.

There is also a PTS filter now ;-)
