‘23 S Build
Wife suddenly decides she loves the 2020 Cayenne base. Wants to sell her Audi. I’ve whipped up a 2023 build for myself. Will sell the Audi now (have a buyer in the wings). In the interim I’ll drive my 996 C4 to the golf course and occasionally to the supermarket or out to dinner. Dealer has an allocation. Figure it’ll arrive Spring ‘23. Here’s the build. What’s missing? Gotta decide by 12/01. http://www.porsche-code.com/PPMQ3DV6
FWIW, an additional $4–6,000 gets me a similarly equipped GTS. To a great extent my “maturity” dictates the need for comfort over speed/performance.

Lots of goodies…looks like a nice build. Getting close to the GTS price range but not everyone needs or wants a V8. That’s probably one of the most popular paint colors…maybe the most popular if Dealers didn’t order a lot of black cars for inventory.
Good choices, particularly PSE and PSC. I also am a trailer hitch guy.
I would add (these take the price into GTS territory):
18 way seats
Assistance package
SportDesign front fascia
Mirror lower housing in exterior color
Puddle lights
Remote park assist
Rear window sunblinds
Porsche crests on seats front/rear
Deep pile floor mats

As a “mature” person the thing I really like about the GTS is the comfort, speed and performance. Just because it’s a GTS doesn’t mean it’s a race car, it just has a few more fun things added. My config is all about comfort (message seats) for the long haul trips we take. What’s more comfortable than a vehicle that performs very well and stable at Highway speeds (pdcc and rws). Then there is always the grin when I step on it. Run a config for a GTS and compare. The beauty with Porsche is they give the ability to config a vehicle that best suits the person.

Looks like a nice build. Can't really critique as all the options are highly personal, and you're not "missing" anything crucial.
I'm still pissed that you're allowed to order the matrix headlights because you're building an S, but I'm not because I built a hybrid. Stupid. I can understand restricting dealer stock orders, but customer orders? That's just ****ty, IMO.

Thanks for the comments. As expected many votes for the GTS.
Given that I have no time constraints, my sense of due diligence demands
1. Don’t be rushed just because P dealer has allocation now
2. Do you really want two Cayennes in the garage?
3. At the very least take a look at the AMG GLE 53 and GLE 580 (I know, it’s not a Porsche) both of which spec out at +/- $100k compared to the $125k S or GTS
4. Charleston MB dealer has a black AMG 53 coupe which doesn’t fit my desired build but offers a test drive opportunity

If owning within mfr or extended warranty, the only issue is your time and frustration for repairs. If owning beyond warranty it could be a trail of tears.

Caveat emptor with the GLE. Both models you listed have the 48V mild hybrid system, which MB has, and continues to, struggled with for the past three model years. Due diligence required.

My ‘21 Audi had the 48v mild hybrid. No issues in 21 months of ownership. A fair amount of what I read about the MB issues is that it is somewhat confined to 2019 and 2020 builds.
