I just want to tell you guys to be careful with this user CHALKGT2RS Chandra Sarkar I sold him my wheels on 8/31/2022, I immediately wrote him to give him the date whit arrival date, before that, he was very active answering me, when I sent the tracking numbers I did not hear from him anymore until 4 days after the packages had been marked as delivered at front door. he called me and said he didn't know about delivery date and This person says that he did not receive anything that he was out of town. When I asked him if he had cameras, he said no. in the photos of google maps, his house has fences and has cameras, Pirate ship asked me for a police report, I asked him and he would answer something like, " if you need one ill file one" today when he contacted me, after two months, demanding wheels or money, I asked again for the Police report and he said," There is no proof of them belong delivered to my address. It’s okay I will take this up with PayPal and my Cc company." this person does not seem to care because he always took days to answer me and vaguely, after doing a search on google, there is another person who went through the same process with him, in the MB forums and also in bimmerfest where he was banned, right now I already have a paypal for a Charge back claim, so we'll see what happens, he acts like he doesn't know and isn't in a hurry, but the reality is that this guy sells wheels on ebay too.

Owning a retail store, I have done a lot of shipping for over 35 years on high end goods. The key here is to always ship with full insurance for the value of the goods and check off the box that says Adult Signature Required as well as the box for Confirmation of Delivery. Do that and you are protected reasonably well but it will cost a few extra bucks. If you just ship regular UPS / Fed EX, without those conditions you are at risk of a chargeback and will likely lose it when you contest it. You must have a signature proof of delivery to prevail.
I was actually chatting with him regarding a marketplace facebook ad where he is selling wheels......he seemed shady during the chat......this confirms it.
He's a scam artist. Just took me for $4,000 for what he claimed where "brand new, take-off" 997.2 Turbo S center locks. The wheels arrived, but were as far from new as a wheel could be. Every wheel has significant scratches, curb rash, scuffs and chips in the finish. When he wouldn't respond to me about the condition of the wheels, I took them to the best wheel restorer here in Miami, figuring I'd cut my loses and just have them refinished. Unfortunately, the wheels are structurally unsound and the two fronts are bent beyond repair. None of the contact information he gave to me is valid.

@rawint I am in the process of working to remove the users @CHALKGT2RS@CHALKGT2RS , and @CHALKGT2RS. - and I have no problem openly saying so. Either way this seems to be the second case of an issue just within the cayenne area and the user is still active on here, in the wanted area. So chalkgt2rs, we are open to what you have to say, if anything.

A police report does nothing at all.
Even with a photo confirmation of delivery via UPS or FedEx?

if there is a charge back, you can submit whatever you want for evidence. including this thread from the forum. as to how much credibility they give it i am not sure. i do know this, i have seen judges take facebook posts as evidence. so, submit everything you have.
they tend to side w the cardholder if it is a toss up or borderline.

FWIW, you can protect yourself with some fairly low cost consumer cyber insurance. If scam started on-line, coverage can be triggered. In this case, you were tricked into parting with your property via on-line scammer.
You mean that MF might get the wheels, AND the $ back?
I know I shouldn't say it, but I'm gonna say it ....
People like that should die slowly, painfully ....
A few scammers like this really sour the experience in an otherwise great community. I feel for those who got taken advantage of—and have nothing but anger and disgust for the people behind it.
