Had an RS7 pull up beside me at the light on the way home today and before I knew it we were ***** deep into full throttle. Surprising result, the Audi had nothing on the GTS, dead even. Either Audi is underrating the RS7 or Porsche is lowballing GTS numbers. He had to pull in behind me as the lanes merged. Satisfactory result imho.

I love it! My wife occasionally comes home with a big smile, proclaiming, “I just blew the doors off another Mustang!”
I love how these big SUVs can smoke unsuspecting Audis and Mustangs!
Not all races show the potential of both cars. The RS7 is significantly faster than the GTS in every magazine test. Like low 11 second quarter at 122 mph or more for the RS7 versus mid 12 second quarter at 110 mph for the GTS. The RS7 will literally run away from the GTS.
But sometimes off the line races are much closer than they might be because one car was not in launch control or one car had to downshift and spool the turbos or was in economy mode or needed servicing or something like that. Probably the case here given the unexpected result.
This was a real world scenario and neither of us were in launch control mode. That was my point, the rs7 "should" have wiped the floor with me but didn't. I've owned both a C7 and C7.5 RS7 and it is a ridiculously fast car, but in this case the GTS held its own admirably.
maybe the other driver wasn't full throttle, but it sure seemed like he was. I think he was also a bit surprised with the GTS exhaust during wot, it was crazy loud. Maybe scared him off. Lol.
Waiting for my Dragy to come tomorrow and get some real numbers on my 22 gts. Still waiting on Burger to get the piggyback setup complete and will get numbers on that. Think Car and Driver got 3.9 0 to 60 interested if that is the case.
