Default Wipers Junk or Broken?

Ok so haven’t really had to drive our 2019 base cayenne in the rain until now. First I was surprised to find no rain sensing wipers at this price level. However more importantly my intermittent setting doesn’t seem to do anything. No matter what speed interval I select it will wipe once when I change the interval and that’s it, doesn’t wipe anymore. If I flip to normal low mode it works fine but I find that too fast for when it’s just misting and I end up manually doing single wipes. So is there some trick to these, is that setting broken on mine or are they just junky wipers?

Must be broken. Mine certainly sense the rain and adjust accordingly.

Mine works well. Now the rear wiper is another story.

Rain sensor is standard equipment on front wipers, but rear wiper is intermittent mode only. However, the rear wiper interval changes depending on vehicle speed. You can also configure the rear wiper to operate when the windshield wipers are on and you engage reverse gear.

More trivia — when you wash the rear window, the rear camera lens is cleaned with a spray jet. A leaky spray jet valve will allow dripping and causes blue streaks running down the license plate and bumper as in this thread:

I also have trouble with mine. I hadn’t really thought about it, but in todays snow I was only operating the wipers manually. I thought it was due to the snow collecting in windshield areas away from the sensor. But it kinda sucks in general.
