Default 2018 Cayenne S vs 2019 Cayenne Base

I have been looking for a 2019-2021 CPO Cayenne and have been unable to find a reasonable price. It seems most dealers right now are offering about 10-15% discount off MSRP - Most I find online are $65k+ for the 2019 CPO. My other option is to look for a 2020 service loaner that is discount 10-15% from MSRP.

Recently I found a CPO 2018 Cayenne S (VIN: WP1AB2A20JLA60188) with an original MSRP of $93k with 26k miles going for $61k. The warranty would be almost 4 years as there is 23 months left + 24 months for CPO. Is this a good deal? Will it hold it's value well? Will I miss interior between 2018 vs 2019+?

2019 is a generation change (9YO). I'd look for a 2019 +, but if it was me, I'd take a 2020 service loaner with low mileage before I'd take a 2019 or earlier, if that is all that is available. you may have to search around a fair bit though.

How much MSRP would you consider a good price on a 2020 service loaner? I found one at 12% off MSRP, however, that still seemed high to me.

I'm in Canada so can't comment on US prices. From what I understand, supply is a bit constrained and used car prices are reported to be high. I think if you call around, you'll get a feel for where dealers are at with different units. In my market, the dealer tries to limit discounts on new vehicles to 3% and is pretty successful. I've read of people in the US getting 8 - 10% off new Cayenne. It just depends on what the dealer has in stock and how motivated they are. You'd think a 10% discount on new would mean at least 15% off a demo, but who knows?

It would depend on the MSRP. Are you a dealer? I did decide to go with a 2019+, however, would want a certified one.

I agree, I live in Canada and there is now way we getting what most of the US folks are. Inventory for used is limited. We traded our 2019 (CPO) and lost only about 6 grand CND over the two years we bought. I also bought the extended warranty which I have to absorb, not sure of the loss rate but 3000 a year to have a Cayenne to us was great. Happy at the dealers buy back offer.
