Default Turbo with PSE - Upgrade sound

Hey guys,
i just got my 2019 Cayenne Turbo CPO this week.
it has the OEM PSE exhaust has option.
its very nice.
But I come from all AMG 63 exhaust sound and i find the Turbo missing some v8 sound.

Anyone know or done a resonator delete or a high flow Cat change upgraded the exhaust sound best?
Would a mod like this effect my CPO warranty on my exhaust only or full car warranty?

just trying to figure out how to upgrade sound without changing the full exhaust, has I already have PSE.

Welcome to Rennlist and congratulations on your new Cayenne. I can’t speak to warranty issues but can advise on the sound:

p3pp3r did a resonator delete and heard no real difference. See Post #70 here: https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...he-cost-5.html

Your best bet for more sound and minor power gain is a set of downpipes with high performance cats. Fabspeed evaluated the Cayenne’s factory exhaust system and found it to be very free flowing and would yield little gain from modification. However, the dual catalytic converters in each downpipe were restrictive and muffled that great V-8 engine’s bark. They just developed a set of high flow, single-cat downpipes and posted an announcement here: https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...uct-suite.html
Be sure to turn up the volume when viewing the video!

Soul and Redstar also offer catted downpipes, as well. Links to all three products, below:

I modified my 993’s exhaust with sport mufflers and then with 200cpi sport cats. I first installed Fister’s most aggressive mufflers, the Stage 3 kit. They sounded great but I wanted more. (Analogous to your current situation with PSE exhaust.) The factory cats were still muffling the sound that I was seeking. I then installed Fabspeed’s x-pipes with 200cpi sport cats. Yahoo! The sport cats provided a MUCH greater difference than the Fisters. Together, they create that flat-6 screaming banshee shriek that sends small children crying to their mothers 😎. Here’s a video with the Stage 3 and Fister 200cpi Sport Cats (same sound profile). Check out the drive by at 0:50 and 1:20. 👍🏼

Bottom line: Sport Cats will yield vastly greater sound improvement over other exhaust modifications to your PSE equipped Cayenne Turbo.

Is the valve operation variable on the exhaust or can they be pinned open like Ferrari's(vacuum operated)? I know the newer AMG's will throw a CEL as those flaps are motor-driven and variable.
