FWIW I too was curious about the possibility of a facelift for the Cayenne since I'm in the process of ordering one, but ultimately decided I wanted the soonest allocation and if the new Panamera facelift was any indication I may prefer the soon to be older styling. My dealer mentioned that the coupes came out later than the SUV, so the facelift may apply to SUV first then coupe. But it is for sure in the pipeline and coming.

You are probably correct. I pushed for an earlier delivery but when the sales manager checked with Porsche UK he was told that there were nothing available and their quarter two allocation would certainly be 22 model cars. This could be an indication of a short break in production while they change over to a facelifted model.

Which goes along with what I said. If it was a September build, it probably wasn't delivered to you until October. There were several posts on Rennlist that stated the GTS wasn't allowed to be delivered in the US before October.

No worries; those goofy taillights are camouflage to hide the real ones. Look closely at the photo to see that the panel is temporarily affixed to the rear.
Also, note the license plate repositioned down from the tailgate to the bumper.

yes, I see that now... but why go to that effort to have such corny camouflage?

Looks like they've simply added the Coupe bumper to the standard car. Possibly the boot door panel is an easy swap as well so saving money producing two separate sets of parts.

Those photos look more like a Macan which is due for a facelift for sure. The Macan and 718 are both due.

The Macan had a facelift in 2019, and won't be face-lifted again until at least the reveal of the Macan BEV for MY2023.

Definitely not... This is much more box-like than a Macan -- typical of Cayenne. Macan is more carlike than Cayenne -- very noticeable difference in silhouette, especially in the rear.

Also, Macan has clamshell hood, this does not. That's a HUGE undertaking for a "facelift". No, new Macan won't be seen until all new car.

Macan 2015-2018 (4 years), Face lift 2019-
991 2012.5-2016 (4.5 years), Face lift 2017-
Boxster/Cayman 2013-2016 (4 years), Face lift 2017-
So if we base on Panamera and others, my best guess for the 3rd gen Cayenne 2019-2022 (4 years), face lift 2023-
But I do not have any insider info, so I can be wrong of course.

The '21 Panamera GTS has the updated turbo V8 and steering wheel and I suspect that the '22 Cayenne GTS will get the same. That's the main reason I think the '22 Cayenne will get the facelift as I can't imagine they'll use the old engine & steering wheel for another year.
