During this cold spell, the pre-entry heating is one of the bigger bonuses of the e-hybrid.
However, if I wish for the car to be heated for planned departure of say 8:10am, what time does the actual heating, windscreen defrosting etc all actually come on?
I've read somewhere in handbook that it is maintained for 10mins so I guess that means it switches off at 8:20am?
i've answered my own question - checked on the car several mornings in a row & interestingly, it knows to vary the start time according to ambient temp. On the coldest morning, the preentry climate control/rear screen defroster etc came on almost 30mins before timed departure!
