Default 2019 Cayenne S —oil change?/

Getting close to that 20,000 mile required oil change time! I have searched here and all over cyberworld for a diy procedure or even SOMEBODY that has done the oil change themself; to no avail. Trying to avoid the $300 bill for the procedure..... Has anyone done it themselves or can direct me to a diy video or anything???

chip4 has found the filter cap on a Base model and I myself have found it on the Turbo. You can see pics here:

The issue isn't the simple process of an oil and filter change, but the ability to reset the service message. I have yet to find any tool that works on the newer models so this week ended up finding a shop who had a "$30K tool" that they could use to reset it. There is bound to be one available at some point but for now it looks like we need to pay the piper. The independent shop charged me $159 to do it along with extra fees to replace the cabin filter and change the brake fluid (recommended at 2 years). Total price was about $440 as compared to dealer who wanted $1300.

Boy; I need to find an indy shop like yours—$159 for oil change and service reminder reset is VERY reasonable. If they used Mobil 1 synthetic, that comes to knocking on $100 alone—even at Walmart prices. Brake fluid and cabin filter change I can do myself. Most independent shops in Phoenix here won’t touch a Cayenne for anything; at least the ones I contacted.....

I hear you. The main reason I had them do it all, even though I could have easily myself, is that I wanted the official invoice that showed it was done in case Porsche tried to screw with me later related to warranty work. As for the $159 price for the oil and filter change, I was told it was a special they were running but that they also frequently run that special.

Never said I was. This is the 2nd oil change. Or were you directing this to the original poster?

Same here; i was just remarking that at 20,000 miles—it’s time for the second 10,000 mile oil change... The first 10,000 mile change was a freebie from the dealer.

I'm in Chicagoland. My independent will do an oil and filter change for $150-190 for Porsches. Manufacturer recommended fluids and OEM parts only. My most recent oil change and multi-point inspection on a 2017 Cayenne S was about $150.
