Default Phone Holder for Upper Dash Vents?

I'm hoping to find a magnetic cell phone holder for the upper dash vents that will hold my phone (Galaxy S20) to the left of the clock. We of course don't have Android Auto, so I'm looking for the best location to display Waze and JBV1 (once my Valentine One Gen2 arrives). I'm hoping to not have to attach a disk for a suction cup or anything permanent to the dash. Any good solutions?

Proclip does have this mount which attaches to the center console grab handle. That would put the phone well below my field of view when driving, but it might be useful for some.

David,
Please look at our options, specifically designed for 911 and spirited driving. We have charging magnetic, and just magnetic. It puts phone quite up, next to PCM screen. Unlike vent mounts all our options are very secure, and use huge magnets for strong hold. We even have a video of S20plus test drive!

Do you have any photos showing one of your mounts in a 2019+ Cayenne? A Panamera might be close enough. I'd also like some more details on how it's attached. With the new wide screen, it might work to have the phone vertical on the left (but would likely obscure the screen), vertical on the right might be too far away. Horizontal above the screen would be best, in front of the clock would probably be the ideal location.

Agree thats having a phone mount on the cayenne vents is a pain since it obscures the pcm screen .
not sure about using magnet mounts near screens to be honest.
only real opton seems to be a screen mount but they look so trash.

This product may be worth resurrecting this thread if anyone is interested. I cant find any reviews, but the install vid looks pretty clean.
Really not needed functionally using Carplay, but I would just like somewhere to put my phone where I can see it and put it on charge other than the silly tray on the center console or in my pocket.

Actually we just days away from offering multiple phone mounts for 19+ Cayenne, that will put phone near the screen but not obstructing at all! Stay tuned.

I'm with you on the center console; on one hand it stops you from being distracted by a phone, on the other hand, you can't access it if you need to if you are stopped or something.

I have never been a fan of magnet mounts, but then the iPhone 12 brings some innovations. So far no one has made something to work directly with Magsafe though.

I ordered this mount: https://www.proclipusa.com/product/8...ter-dash-mount

I have used ProClips on my other cars and they have been great and solid. I also have never liked vent mounts as they obviously block the vents.

Here we go, our fresh line for new Cayenne at www.t-design9.com . We have versions of Monaco magnetic wireless charger, Magnum magnetic holder, and mechanical universal phone mount (no pics of that one yet)

Both Monaco and Magnum - completely hidden when the phone is in.

Monaco magnetic wireless charger - about size of credit card

Magnum - small, discreet and super strong

How does this install and can it be used with a phone case? Any photos of just the holder?

3 last pictures are the pictures of just the holders... To install - it just inserts into the seam near the right vent. NOT on the vent.

does the vent have to be popped out like some of the other manufacturers?

Finally found the mount that I wanted (and OP asked for)

it’s made by a company called A-Tach
https://www.atachmounts.com/Porsche-...unt_p_186.html

They seem on par with Pro-Clip which I have been using on my cars for years but they offer a much better car mount (my opinion) than Pro-Clip.

I bought both and did not like the Pro-Clip placement or installation. https://www.proclipusa.com/vehicle/d...e-cayenne/2021

I ended up using the A-Tach car mount with the Pro-Clip iphone MagSafe mount and so far it’s exactly what I wanted.

Pro-Clip

A-Tach

attaching pictures of both and hope this helps.
