2020 vs 2019 throttle lag?
Is there any chance that the transmission programming or anything related was changed for the 2020 model? I test drove a 2020 base and found serious throttle lag from complete stop. I’d wait at least a second or so to feel any hint of acceleration.
I never noticed this in the 2019 I test drove a month ago. Throttle lag is the reason I’m avoiding anything new from Audi, but I didn’t think Porsche was affected. I was driving in normal mode, not sport on both test drives. Auto stop start was off.

I don’t know about the 2020 model, but I have recently noticed a huge difference in throttle lag on my wife’s 2019 Cayenne (15k miles). I took it in for service and they said it is normal, but I can’t definitely tell it’s a bit sluggish

There is lag (coming from a turbo owner).
but you mitigate this by either being aggressive with gearbox (hard prompts) which then primes it for heightened response. Or, of course, putting it in “S” or “S+” mode, or hitting “sport response” button which definitely primes it.
the issue is that it seems that it’s been programmed to dumb down responses at low speeds. Perhaps for car park / pedestrian safety. But it certainly works well when up and running.
maybe more aggressive use of a left foot on the brake?? (Tongue in cheek response)
