Default 800 Miles in <24 hours - Exemplary Service

i took delivery on a new 2020 cayenne turbo two weeks ago from beachwood porsche, and after about 150 miles, every time the car would go over a bump i would hear a loud “thunk” from the front right suspension - not good - obviously... i called phil snyder, general manager of beachwood, from whom i have bought several cars, and told him what was going on... without hesitation he sent an enclosed flat bed hauler the next morning to pick up the cayenne turbo at my house - 200 miles away - and left me a virtually new panamera to drive while they took the cayenne back to see what was wrong...

the service manager called me later that same afternoon it had been picked up to tell me it was a loose bolt on a tie rod that hadn’t been properly torqued when it was built, and that i would have it back the next morning - which was exactly what happened...

mark, beachwood’s driver, drove 800 miles in less than 24 hours to pick up and bring back the cayenne - phil and the entire beachwood team went above and beyond any possible expectations i could have had... we’ve all read bad stories on rennlist about dealers not doing what they were supposed to, but what beachwood did here was the opposite of that, and i think those stories are worth talking about, too...

200 miles away is your closest Porsche dealer?

no - 200 miles away is the closest porsche dealer that has provided service at this level on a consistent and long-term basis...

the closest porsche dealer is basically right across the street from my office, but i would buy a vespa and drive it cross country - in a thundering hailstorm with no eye protection while wearing gym shorts, flip flops and a wife beater - before i would ever buy a porsche from them, or take one there to be serviced...

Great story but very sad as well that Porsche tolerates such dealers as the one across the street from your office and my local dealer here in the midwest. I have to go out of state for great service but well worth the drive. Glad it was a simple, quick fix.
