Default Windshield wipers suck

Anyone else having an issue with their wipers? Mine leave a haze, mentioned in other threads. But mine are also super streaky leaving multiple little lines of water after they wipe. I’ve cleaned them and the windshield and still have this annoying problem. The wipers in my 2013 were perfect and the blades always lasted more than a year, even here in NC with our crazy hot summers. Anyone else with this and is there a solve? I’m going to run by the dealer tomorrow, I’m that annoyed.

I've got the problem also, but I think it's related to the pollen *oak tree' during this season. Hope so anyway.

JUst drove mine through rain and some wet snow - no streaking. Your wipers or glass could have been contaminated with something, like some lubricant or adhesive. Try cleaning both very very well with strong cleaner (Windex with ammonia) and if that does not help, get new wipers, ideally free from the dealer, because streaking is not normal.

Mine work well when it is raining steadily. For misting, sometimes there are a few streaks.

Ours are fine too. You might've gotten stuck with a bad set. I bet your dealer would replace them without charge as a courtesy.

There is graphite on the blade edges and it's rather fragile - if you lift the arm off the glass to wipe the arm or for any reason be cautious of touching the blade edge.

I went to the dealer this week. The agreed they should be working better and ordered me a new pair. Hopefully that solves the problem.

Hi @Turboace

I too have the similar problem with my 2019 Cayenne Base, last week was the first encounter with full-blown rain shower and it was impossible for me to drive, feel like wipers do to not do anything.
Please share your experience after replacing with the new pair.

I cleaned the window really well with windex and installed the new blades. They work perfect. No more haze and no more streaks.

Awesome, I'll try to convince my dealer for the same, trying to gather all issues like this before getting to him. Good Luck ✌️
