Great article, thanks for posting. At the risk of being cynical, this all the very expensive bits your service manager will be explaining to you after they break.

To me, the Bentayaga is fugly and that goes for the Urus and new Rolls suv. Some people with money have the worst taste. My neighbor down the street has a white one and she seems to love it. In fact the only people I see drive them around here are women. Smart choice keeping the turbo order.

I agree with the others on the newer Q7. Looks like a giant station wagon for abused husbands that have to drive them. Lol! Seriously, total garbage looking. Absolutely boring design

Porsche needs to utilize the real usage of the 48volt system to power the car as well. A great deal of benefits come with this. Biggest one for me is when sitting in the carpool line with the engine off and still being able to run my AC and stereo without the battery dying or when the cars shuts off at a redlight and the ac doesn’t stop staying cold.

Agreed. I’m unsurprised that the word ‘Urus’ is halfway to anus.

I’ll get my coat and show myself out.

Is there a link to a technical article with diagrams explaining the 9Y0 all wheel drive system? For example details on the three differentials, transfer case and control logic? My friend google wasn’t much help. Thanks!

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...72005-0001.pdf

It’s Audi EA825 engine engine study which should be the same as the 4.0T engine in Cayenne Turbo and GTS.

As I changed over to winter tires today I took a few pictures of the front and rear components before everything got dirty. Looks to be oversized everywhere. I have PDCC and RWS. I see I missed the rear PDCC sway bar…they are huge…it’s the most forward component in front.

This may not fit here but I did a search and didn’t find a post on Capacitive buttons. I thought that Porsche just added them to some recent models but this is the second news feed about them being unpopular and discontinued on future VW’s. The mix of buttons and capacitive buttons don’t bother me except maybe the Piano black shows fingerprints. I think the prior Macan had more buttons but recently changed to capacitive ones?

Volkswagen knows the capacitive touch buttons in its interiors are hated. In an interview with U.K. publication Car Magazine, CEO Thomas Schäfer says an overhaul is on the way, with hardware fixes coming as soon as next year."We know what we need to do," Schäfer told Car at the Los Angeles Auto Show. "We’ve got feedback from customers, we’ve [got] feedback from clinics and from journalists… They say, “You know this is not good. You’ve got to improve this.”

Just traded in SQ7 for Cayenne Turbo. Many similar features, but the vehicles drive differently. Absolutely loved the SQ7, but after driving the Cayenne Turbo I simply had to have it!

Are the lenses in the instrument cluster glass or plastic?
