Porsche Connect not working
Purchased a 2019 Cayenne Turbo and took delivery on Jan 29, 2019. Dealer claimed the system to register the vehicle with Porsche Connect is down so I have not received a Connect id. Cannot complete the set-up of my Cayenne, no app's, etc. Anyone else have this issue or take delivery this past week? Thanks all!!!

My dealer told me that I would get an activation code via email within two days after delivery. After waiting for a day and a half, I was getting impatient and called 1-800-Porsche. They asked me to verify a few details and sent me an activation email as I was still on the phone with them. Went home and was able to set up Porsche Connect with the new code within a few minutes. The car has not forgotten my Porsche ID since I set it up. I did complete the all the details for the driver profile and linked up with the Connect app on my Samsung (android) phone, but not sure if these would be the reason why so many have said the car forgets the Porsche ID.
Couldn't be happier with Porsche Connect so far. I've gone from relying 100% on my phone in the 958 to give me driving directions to using the gigantic screen that is the PCM to tell me how to avoid traffic. I still keep Waze active on my phone to alert me to speed traps via Bluetooth.
I also kept my options list fairly lean by Rennlister standards when ordering the car, so did not opt for HUD. I can honestly say I don't regret the decision at all, since the directions - arrows, distance to the next turn, street name of the next turn - are all clearly displayed in Tube 2 (the second one from the left). Everything lies within my peripheral field so I don't really have to take my eyes off the road.

Does the app allow you to turn on the heated windshield after a remote start?

They do have the remote pre-heating/cooling functions accessible via the Connect app if you have an e-hybrid.
