What is the power kit

It was a an option from Porsche that ups the power and torque.
It was a $20k option so very few ever choose it. I'm guessing it was an option for some folks to make a CTTS like CTT during years without a CTTS model if that makes sense.
From what I read, it's larger turbos and a ECU tune with more boost.
This is from an article speaking of the 2012 power kit:
"When it comes to power, the Cayenne Turbo already packs a 500-horsepower punch, but if that isn't good enough for you, Porsche is now offering a kit that boosts power to 540 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque; an improvement of 40 ponies and 37 lb-ft. That increase comes courtesy of a pair of new turbochargers with titanium-aluminum turbine wheels and engine electronics adjustments"
When you google the E81 Power Kit, 99% of the information pre-dates the 958. I guess it was a bigger thing prior to the 958. I have found very little info on it when they reintroduced it in 2012 and 2013.
If anyone has any knowledge of what exactly this Turbo Kit option entails...I would like to know.

Yours was just too far to drive it back, but I just don't have the patience when it comes to cars! Luckily I was able to fly and drive ours home.
Keep us us updated and post pictures of that interior! Then go and drive through a tank of gas, won't take long! The right pedal is easy to push down in the CTT and CTTS! Much easier than the others

I would have loved to drive it back but yeah....3,200 miles was way too much...even from just a time standpoint. Almost bought one in Houston and was ready to drive that one back. But Seattle...heck no.
Should be here this evening. Can't wait to give her a detail. I bought:
Chemical Guys Black Light Car Soap
CarPro Essence Xtreme Gloss Polish
CarPro Reload Sealant
Chemical Guys VRP rubber / vinyl / plastic protectant
Now I just need the stupid P!G!
And of course I am scheduled to leave town Friday for the holiday. So, aside from tinting and clear corners, may not get to much until after July 4th.

In all seriousness I was over cautious and put tape around the back edges to prevent any possible damage but that took me longer than pulling it off, swapping the bulb and putting the clear in. If you replace the bulb, test before putting the clear corner on. I just locked/unlocked it to get the bulb to turn on. Easiest thing I have ever done on a car, promise!

She arrived!
But stupid question...whenever I lock the car, the DRL's Amber continually flashes. Why is it doing that? Almost as if I have the hazards on when it's off. :Clueless:
