Here's a pic from last Thursday when I decided to wash it really well for one last time for a while. Between my street getting torn up to be redone (2 decades after it should have been done) and the dirt from that, along with having to park on the cross-street when they get to my side, and all the dirt it accumulates from the dump trucks that drive by my office I've decided that trying to keep it clean is just an uphill battle I won't want to deal with.
Maybe that along with a couple coming trips this will lead to some pictures of an actually dirty Cayenne

** First and only post from user at the time** (Copied & Pasted press junk about the '19 Cayenne Turbo with an embedded video that's already everywhere else on the internet, but hosted from some random YouTube channel that's name just so happens to match the user's screen name accompanied by a wind tunnel simulation photo of the '19 Turbo)
Anyone else smell spam? Or is it just the odor of a really poor attempt at plugging of a YouTube channel wafting through the thread?

You're kidding right? .. If this wasn't posted here, I might never have seen it. Spam? Not really feeling like I immediately want to go out & "buy" anything (already have PDCC in my 958CTT),... soooooo....
I guess I'm just wondering why this offended you. .. maybe I'm just not hip on the social media scene, and have no idea what posting it here really means,... so I apologize for my ignorance.
My son & I sat & watched it together, and to be honest, it was one of those moments for us. He's a Environmental PE, but still loves the mechanical engineering side of life too. I love that he loves Porsche too.

It's a pretty common thing for people to make bogus accounts to try and promote things like YouTube channels (more views, more channel traffic, more subscribers = more AdSense revenue) and have seen accounts like that run rampant in other forums, just makes it into a giant headache and a mess.
Normally they only get into smaller, lesser-funded forums as the spam/bot filters on forums like this normally work really well, along with additional hoops to jump through to create an account beyond just creating a username and password and being able to instantly post can deter the ones out there just looking to quickly blast themselves out there then turn into ghosts.
Had it been in the thread particularly about the '19, and not one specifically of users' 958 photos, I may have been a little less salty even though it shows all the signs of the shameless self-promotion accounts that exist for no reason other than to spam forums and try and drive people to their channel.
Also, no need to apologize, and definitely no ignorance assumed. We're here to learn from one another.
...................................
If there's a real person on the other side of that account that actually joined here with a purpose aside from plugging their YouTube channel, my bad, I apologize. If there's a real person on the other side of that account but you're just here to plug your YouTube channel, could you at least do it in threads pertaining to what you're posting?

Was supposed to meet a couple friends over there in my Mk2 VR6 Turbo but fried an ECU last minute, Jaguar needs a bit more attention after an overly abusive auto-X thrashing, so Hot Pepper for the track it was

Ok,... guess I need to spend some more time reading the rules & trying to better understand things like adsense, spam, botfilters, promotion revenue, the differences between "welcome", and "unwelcome" within content based posts, etc.
otherwise I'll keep quiet. {but I did enjoy the video.... oops ;-)}
And so that this post is related to this thread,... here's a pic from this weekend's travels down to Asheville for the Treffen...

Ok,... it's been 2 months since a post here,... and so this is my attempt to get us back on track with pics..
so many beautiful Cayenne's, and pics of them sooo clean,.. thought I would MIX it up a bit... especially since for many of us in the NorthAmer, the winter is indeed coming...
This pic was actually from the summer time 2016, autocrossing up in northern Vermont. This particular morning, I thought I would be cute, and not follow the printed directions that the PCA Chair had setup for us to get there,... and would take a short cut. I ended up driving literally through a farm fields, in the pouring rain, and all mudd roads. It was hilarious. At one point, the Farmer actually drove past me in one of those HUGE Combines, and I could just barely see him laughing his a$$ off. anyway,.... snapped this pic just before my heat around the cones....
{... Ok guys, also we know you guys are taking nice Fall drives out there. Lets see some more pics of your Cayenne out in its natural environment.... }
