Default Entry & Drive- Key Not Detected Configurable?

My 2013 CD waits several minutes and 10+ blocks before without the key being in the vehicle prior to throwing the "KEY NOT DETECTED" message. It's been a hassle a couple of times now where my wife and I were in a drop off/ car trade scenario. Is the distance or time without a key adjustable?

What happens when you are driving and it says "key not detected'?

Nothing. It will continue driving just fine - but don't shut it off. If it doesn't detect the key - it will not restart. The system seems a bit fussy about this, and I suspect fresh battery in the key fob every 3-6 months or so is probably a good idea. The key fob has to be broadcasting it's signal ALL the time in order for KESSY to recognize it and wake the car up. So there is a non-significant drain on the fob battery on KESSY equipped cars.
