Anybody run a 21" Turbo wheel *without* the fender extensions?
So researching wheels.... if my math is right, my stock 9x18s with a 53mm offset means they "stick out" (past the face of the hub) by 1.9 inches.
The 9" RS Spyders (as opposed to the 9.5" Spyders you can option on the Porsche website) "stick out" (past the face of the hub) by 2.25 inches - meaning they'll stick out further towards the outside of the car by .34 inches. Totally fine.
When I look at the spec for the factory 21" Cayenne Turbo wheels - those are 10" wide with a 50mm offset. My math says that wheel will stick out 1.12 inches FURTHER toward the outside of the vehicle over stock. I also noticed, on the Porsche configurator, you CANNOT select these wheels unless you also select the fender extensions. The same goes if you opt for the 9.5" RS Spyder wheels instead of the 9" ones - you MUST select the fender extensions with the configurator.
Anybody running a 10" wide rim with 50mm offset (like the OE Turbo wheels) or the 9.5" wheel with 47mm offset (like the wider RS Spyder) on a Cayenne that does NOT have the fender extensions? Got any pics?

My ‘11 CTT came with equipped with the 19” Turbo wheels. Last year I purchased a set of the 21” Porsche OEM Turbo II wheels with the Michelin summer tires. I did not install the fender extensions and it’s perfectly fine. The wheels/tires are exactly flush with the fenders front and rear.
I think it actually looks better and a bit more aggressive without the fender extensions.....kind of like when people use wheel spacers to get the wheels/tires to look a bit better and more aggressive filling the wheel wells. (I have the rear OEM spacers that I use when the 19”s are installed). Also running the 21s without the extensions has not caused any problems with stuff being thrown up on the bodywork from the tires, again the tires are fully contained within the fenders. They’re exacly in line with the fenders.
Maybe you can kinda of see the setup from this photo?....

hey guys,
I have a somewhat similar question:
I am looking at purchasing a 958 CTT that has the 21" SportEdition wheels (ET50) with Arch Ext; and want to replaced them with either the 21" Turbo II wheels (ET50?) or one of two different sets of 21" wheels with a 55mm offset and a 45mm offset.
I am pretty confindent the Turbo II wheels will fit exactly the same as the original wheels---but what about the other two: will the ET55 wheels be pushed in too much or be able to clear the calipers? will the ET45 clear the fenders and not cause any rubs?
Anyone with a similar set-up or any expertise on the matter? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Couldn’t tell you about the others you’re considering since they sound like aftermarket choices.

OmniGLH, what year is your Cayenne? I'll be selling my 957 Turbo S 21"x10" et50 wheels in the next week as I replaced them as part of my widebody project. They're pictured below. Come with the Pirelli tires 2 of which are good and 2 need replacement.
I'll also be selling my complete Red Turbo S brake setup in 6-8 weeks with the 380mm front rotors once I get the PCCB adapters made if anyone is interested in upgrading their brakes.
