Default Sourcing Correct TPMS Sensors for '14 CD

As the title suggests, I'm after the appropriate sensors for my '14 Cayenne Diesel. I have a second set of wheels coming for more winter and overlanding.

A check at Pelican Parts shows that the OEM sensors are $100+/each. Ooof!

I see discussion about other TPMS sensors here and here.

Through one of those threads, I see that TMPS.com has sensors that should fit the '14, but I can't be sure. http://www.tpms.com/2014_Porsche_Cay...PMS_s/6340.htm

I'm curious if anyone has ordered and had success with the more affordable TPMS sensors? If so, where did you get them? Which ones did you order?

I also see at TPMS.com that I can get a set for $140+/-.

Is there any difference between the unit listed at Tire Rack vs that at TPMS.com? It's tough to tell...

You bought from TPMS.com for your Cayenne? No issues with their sensors?

No but I am actually friends with the owner and get all my TPMS from him. He is one of the largest distributors of TPMS in the country.

He, they, know more about TPMS than anyone. You will not be disappointed.

Good to know. Thanks. I sent them an email as I still can't seem to get a straight answer.

Call them directly. Ask for Brad. Tell him Todd told you to call. He will get you the exact correct part. Hope that helps. Cheers.

No worries. He was able to respond right away and I have a set on order. Once installed, I'll report back on how and if they work.

Thanks for the tip on Tpms.com. Called them yesterday and they were really helpful. Not sure who I talked to. Order a set and they shipped the same day. They clearly know what they are talking about.
