Default SIM CARD

Hi everyone,
I was always under the impression that the little slot in the PCM was a microSD, but after reading my manual I figured out it was a SIM card slot. In my old X5 I was able to send directions to my car from google via this service. Is this the same thing or is it just for the integrated Porsche phone? Thanks!

It would depend on what PCM rev you're talking about. What model Cayenne is this?

I have a Verizon SIM in the PCM of my '17. As long as I'm in 4G-capable areas it works perfectly. The RF bands supported in the US models are intended for connection through AT&T networks. The radio's RF bands, however, work fine with Verizon 4G LTE. It's only if it has to fall back to a slower speed because of limited coverage. The PCM doesn't have the CDMA radio necessary for Verizon fall-back. But, at this point, 4G coverage is totally complete anywhere I need to regularly travel.

As for only Euro models, I don't think that's at all correct.

All the SIM cards I've ever seen are really small... much smaller than the slot. Is there a carrier or bracket or something to make it work?
