I need to figure out crossbars for the 958 w/factory rails. Of the various options out there which ones are the easiest to add and remove. I only need them when skiing with other people. When I am by myself I just put the skis in the car. The old system on my 955 was great. I could have them on or off in a few minutes.

 

When I looked into it the Porsche bars came out the cheapest getting them from Suncoast. That was even with discounts and sale prices on Thule stuff at REI at the time.

My only complaint with the Porsche bars is that the rails are further apart at the front and closer in the rear. So one bar is shorter than the other, but that isn't clear the first time you try. Also lining up the pins with the holes on the inside of the rails can be a bit of a PITA since you can't really see and the mount is in the way to do it by feel.

Once you get installing them down, however, I have no complaints with them any time I've used them.
