John, you're right. For general driving enjoyment, the exhaust is great. However, put 4 people in the car for a drive to dinner, traveling, or anything where driving excitement is lower on the list and I'd be hard pressed to believe all 4 people would enjoy their time in the cabin.

To that end, I really don't feel like modulating the throttle or even manually shifting the car to ease the booming exhaust noise is something I want to do long-term. We're going to take a look at the exhaust in the shop to see if we can do anything else, but I'm going to make some changes before our road trip season starts up in the fall.

So, I ended up removing this exhaust from my Cayenne. Two big reasons. This is our travel car and the noise level (drone, resonance, greater exhaust presence, etc.) between 1,800-2,100 rpms was just too much for my wife and for me to be able to conduct bluetooth calls. Keep in mind, when traveling at highway speeds in 8th gear, the rpms are sitting right in this sweet (or sour) spot.

It was a bittersweet decision, as I LOVED the system for around town and for the aggressive sounds. I really hoped to overcome the challenge and make it work, but I wasn't able to.

If anyone is interested in purchasing my system, please let me know.

Hello Craig, sorry to hear the system didn't work out for your goals. I wish you were closer I'd see if you could stop by to build something on the car that is a bit more custom tailored for you guys. Either way, I'll keep my eyes/ears peeled for someone that might be interested in the system. Have a Happy May!

Yes, I still have the exhaust. I ended up with the PSE exhaust installed by my dealer. I really missed the aggressive sound, but I now have quiet when I need it.

I’m out of town until 3/11 but would be happy to connect for more details when I return.

Thanks!

Hey Craig,

We have never confirmed fitment with this system on the E-Hybrid, it is possible it may work.
Alternatively, we do offer a Secondary Cat Bypass for the Hybrid. Check it out here: https://www.fabspeed.com/porsche-958...-bypass-pipes/
