Default Leather repair for ventilated seats?

The perforated leather on my ventilated driver's seat is tearing like notebook paper.

Anyone else have this issue and how did you fix it?

Haven’t had your problem, but did need repair a few years ago. Any good auto interior shop should be able to help. Next time you are in Las Vegas… checkout www.iansautointeriors.com.

good luck,

Uh, someone I know who drives the CTT much more than me, uh, dragged a very sharp zipper across the ventilated cushion section and sliced the leather open and created a jagged 6 inch scar.

I carefully used some Barge’s cement to glue back the leather closed. Scar still there, but at least it’s not any worse.

She felt really bad right as it happened. 🤷

You know you love your 958 when you outlaw rear zippers for all occupants... 🧐

You can just replace the cushion, with a used one from a dismantler, instead of redoing the leather. Its way easier and cheaper.

What seat and color do you have? I have a cognac 18 way leather seat in great condition I was going to use for my driver's seat however, It's a little darker than my Luxor interior. The price was right so I bought it but have now found a repair shop called The Leather Lab who can do my seat for about $1,000 and I'm now going that route. The seat is available and I will ship.

My seats are "butterscotch" or "caramel" colored. An orange-tan shade.

I forget the official name. Need to do a Vin search.

Is cognac the dark pupleish brown color? That's the color of my dash and other accents.

I believe you're talking about Espresso variant.

The color looks just like my interior which makes the seats Cognac and the darker leather Espresso. If you enter your VIN into VinAnalytics it should likely say you have the Cognac/Espresso interior option

Confirmed with Vin that I have Espresso/Cognac.
I'll DM the prior poster about purchasing the extra seat.

Thanks to all.
