Initially I decided to swap the battery as it was the original on an over 10 year old car, swapped it and coded with piwis, not overly expecting this to resolve but worth a try. Anyway, it didn’t….
whilst I had piwis out I did a bit of scanning and nothing really gave much away.
somebody on Facebook suggested to make sure the internal temp sensor was connected as without this it causes this fault. This prompted me to check and found it was indeed connected.
Tried to log the live data with Piwis and using Google lens to translate from German found this to be showing an Invalid reading.
called the dealer on Monday, part arrived weds, fitted it weds evening and all issues resolved.
Nice ! To the mods, as these issues and their fixes come up, should we make them stickies in the DIY Section? Sometimes searching for these is a big pain. Ok, maybe just some pain on my finger tips AND my bruised ego when I cry for help because I couldn't find it, but a pain non the less.
