Replaced the 13 year old Varta battery on my 2013 S with a AGM H8. Also did plugs/coils and vacuum pump gaskets to address oil leaks. Also went to the car wash to spray down the back of the engine. 220k km / 135k miles
Stop/start now works for the first time in 2 years but voltage sits at 12.2V at idle. Cruise also 12.x but will touch 14v when braking, then slowly drop back down.
Cruise has stopped working.
My PIWIS is MIA as we’re in the middle of a
move. My Thinkdiag scan tool doesn’t show any set codes. It shows generator as ok but also fault code history of 01000.
Did I damage the alternator? Does battery need to be coded? Did I forget the battery sensor plug on the negative terminal?
