2013 Diesel glow plug light/check engine light
Hello All Diesel owners,
We have a 2013 CD with 128K, we had a situation about 4000 miles ago where the glow plug light came on while driving it on a road trip, putting it into limp mode. We were able to make it go away by turning on and off the ignition. I was able to get the fault code pulled, and it said NOx Sensor 2 Bank 1 P229F 00 . We have driven it 4 months and over 4000 miles, with this same issue coming up on occasion (maybe 5 times). But last week, the check engine light came on after one of these glow plug warnings, and it has stayed on. I'm hoping that this is a NOX sensor-related problem, and not a particulate filter or EGR valve. From what I understand, you can replace the NOX sensor (s) with a VW TDI one for a fraction of the cost of the identical "Porsche" part. But I am hoping someone out there has had a similar issue and can give me some advice. It is out of Dieselgate warranty, so no lifeline there from POA.

2014 diesel glow plug/check engine light.
Seems to happen when rpm >3K. Goes into limp mode, glow plug & check engine light. resets with stop/start. Took it into service since I’m planning a trip. Will communicate results.
