Default DEF Tank question (AGAIN)

If I have a leak in the DEF tank of a 2016 958.2 Diesel(duh)… would this be covered under the 10-yr Diesel-gate warranty if car has not been rear-ended? If so, what would be involved with the fix and and process for same? Makes me want to think about a complete delete of everything…aack!

If you have not gone beyond the mileage (120,000), then is should be covered.

Check for a pinky finger nail size o-ring missing on the return side of the heater. VW screwed mine up when they swapped out a dead ad-blue heater. Ad-blue leaked on top of the tank itself until I found the problem and fixed it.

So far the dealer is on task to replace under warranty and we will see - I’ll confirm heater o-ring and functionality the next time I speak with them. Apparently leaking around the DEF electronic sensor is a common failure point and it’s been documented
