Default Luxor Beige interior dye/paint for door grab handles

Hi there,

The interior grab handles in my Luxor Beige interior are starting to look a bit worse for wear. After 126kms that is really the only part of the interior looking a bit tired. Goes to show the quality of these cars is excellent!
Has anybody either replaced these handles or had them painted/dyed back to the correct colour? They're made of hard plastic with a texture so I think it would be an easy paint job.

You can see from the photo below mine are dirty, fading and you can see the undercoat colour.

I have the Luxor Beige interior also and ordered this interior dye/paint for my steering wheel. I think it would work even better on those grab handles. Here is where I ordered from:

Do you just paint the dye on or how does this process work?

you can try to dab on it with a foam brush but it'll take multiple coats to get it to be even. If you can access an airbrush, that would be ideal. you can also try "Preval" its a product, I've never had luck with it but...

I bought my Cayenne with 90K miles quite impressed with how well the luxor beige interior was holding up. Well, a few weeks later, the dye applied by the seller to the outside lower seat bolster on the driver's seat has worn away, revealing a spot of bare leather.

The lesson here is that father time wiill sonner or later catch up with even excellent build quality. Once it does, you have the choice either to live with worn spots or keep applying fixes.
Having said that, a door handle can be replaced more easily than a driver's seat. So that is also an option.

I used a foam brush on my steering wheel - I’d say my results are good enough for government work, but that is because I’m not particularly skilled. It still looks fine and someone who has more patience and/or ability will do better than I did for sure. Might as well try it for $25 - I paid an upholstery shop $140 a year ago to fix it for me and their solution wore off pretty quick.

I'm going to paint mine this weekend. I've found a durable interior beige that matches and will prep and spray the handles on the driver and passenger side. Will post pics when I'm done.

I've never used these products, but when I was doing tons of research about refurbishing a Mercedes G-Wagon I almost purchased, everyone told me that this company makes the best interior paint and OEM supplier:

https://semproducts.com/products/market/upholstery-trim

https://semproducts.com/products/ref...em-refinishing

When I called them up about the project I was about to embark on, they were super helpful regarding which of their products best suited my needs and how I needed to use them in order to obtain the best results.
