2013/14 Cayenne S Auto S/S Disabling?
I am new to the Porsche Brand (always have had Audis, old Audis)
I am looking to purchase a used CPO 2013 S or 2014 S with low miles, but HATE the idea of Auto S/S button pushing. Can someone tell me what I would need to totally disable this function on these 2 year models? Both cars I am considering have the 14-way Power Seats w/Memory Do these Models stay off after disabling the button the first time? Or do you have to program this into your key setting? Or will I need a Module installed? Thank you for your help in advance! |
Push the button in the center console. It stays off

That’s the beauty of these years - push it one time and it stays off until you want it back on. Later models have to push it every time. I turned mine off on my first drive in 2016 and have never used it.

no, since he’s owned his 2011-2014, he has never had to touch the button again.

if a later model , just program the diamond key on the steering wheel. One flick of the thumb, off until you restart it again. Pain? Yes, but a very minor one!

Someone sells a module for the later cars (cloud 9 maybe?) that remembers the last state start stop button. I use the module for sport mode. So my car starts in sport mode no button press needed.

From post #25 on my log thread: "I *think* that the Auto Start Stop is not related to memory package, but instead it is its own separate option. From post #17 above: "Regarding the auto start stop, mine is equipped with option 7L8 = "start/stop system "default on". Option 7L6 = always off" and option 7L4= "last mode". How I wish I had one of these two options instead..."

Gus;
Where did you get the exact list of options for your vehicle? The dealer, VIN search? I ask because I would like to fully research these Cayenne's (Both are out of state) I am considering before I pull the plug and handover my cash. |
Dealer provided me with this. It was part of the service records when I purchased the vehicle. The previous owner authorized the dealership to provide me with all of the documentation.

Thank you!
