Default small tear in seatback

2011 S 180K...I have a small tear in the pass seat, and would like some suggestions on how to best repair it.

I have considered clear "super-glue" applied thinly, or take it to an auto upholstery shop and let them do it. I am not a fanatic about this high-mileage Cayenne, and cannot see myself spending more than about $50 to get it fixed. If I do it myself, it will cost about 50cents. Just for reference, I held a nickel by it while taking the pic. The small photo in my album came out HUGE on the forum page...sorry.

What suggestions have you?

Thanks for al your help.

Jim

Super glue?!? Are you driving a hooptie or a Porsche?

Ask the dealer who they use for make ready - I had a friend who had a business doing this and they can make anything look brand new for very little $$.

Get some leather glue
Run stitches through this holes
apply a thin line of leather glue to the tear
tie stitches up and let dry
remove stitches.

You can also applyt a little dye if you wish. You might be able to mix a little dye with the glue.

Thank you. That was very helpful. I will give it a try.
