Default aftermarket stereo in 958 part 2

does anyone have advice or a guide to wiring, components needed, to install new amps, subwoofer and speakers? please dont tell me to search and then send links to tweeter upgrades, PCM upgrades and posts asking for opinons on which equipment is best. If anyone has first hand experience with installing a new systew( powered by new amp) or subs, I would appreciate your help

99 views and no replies, well until this one. Keep your topic in one thread and it will be easier for your topic to get some traction. No need to start a part 2. I'll try to provide some input on the original thread.

well that’s pretty sad, I appreciate it, normally I don’t trust these diagrams unless I have a way to know them to be true, but if you have experience and your saying it’s correct then I’m good with it

The diagram looks like a set up for Burmester. If I were you, and handy, I would get the Burmester from a dismantler and swap it in.

I'm not saying it would be easy, But if succesful the result would likely be better than anything you could add aftermarket for the same money.

I agree I’m leaning towards adding an in line converter and some subs, I’ll listen to all the warnings.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I have absolutely no experience with the Cayenne's PCM system. Like I stated, it was a Google search. If you want traction in your thread, you have to be detailed. Cayenne model, and stereo it's equipped with.

If you don't trust the wiring diagram to be true, then verify it on your own. Pull out the system, take a 9V and test the speaker leads, then test the power, trigger and ground. If those check out then it's a pretty safe bet that the diagram is correct.

Why do you say that? It covers both the Bose and Burmester.

The Burmester and Bose have more speakers than the diagram.

Speakers are wired in parallel.

I say it just because the word "Burmester" shows up on the diagram. Yes, it covers both. The two systems are largely similar in terms of wiring.

I am not claiming any expertise.

The diagram also shows Bose on the right side.
