aftermarket stereo in 958
hey has anyone replaced the door speakers and sub woofers? I know most newer cars are a little more intensive and need a processor, I havent seen any videos on youtube, anyone on here changed out thier stereo?

@jthorn75 There's a number of DIY threads, from replacing stock Bose tweeters with Ferrari F50 tweets, to wholesale ripping and replacing. I've done the tweets and a center channel Burmester upgrade. Anything beyond that and the cost/complexity goes up by a factor of 10-50X, without a similar increase in sound quality. I know enough about car audio systems to know when to stop.
Audio sound is an awfully complex topic...if you want to get your money's worth, you may be better off finding a local shop who has significant experience in the Cayenne.
Almost *nothing* is as simple as pulling off a door card, removing an old speaker and installing new. Almost *everything* will involve custom fabrication of mounts, once, you've chosen the appropriate components...and the resulting sound quality will count on installation expertise as much as component selection.
