It happens at work too on occasion, and there is no telling what interference it may get as I work next to an airfield.

Maybe it's one of the door handles? It's hard to tell without a device that will read the modules.

If anyone knows where the interior motion sensor module is, I may unplug it and see what happens, before I try to get codes read.

I can't do any testing on my car as it's too early to play with the alarm but I seem to remember it going off when I lifted one of the handles.

I'd be looking at the door handles and latches as your primary problem source. But to do that effectively, you'd need a tester that lets you monitor their status. That way you can wiggle the handles, wiggle the actual doors, and monitor their open/closed and other statuses.

So what I realized today in numerous locations, was the alarm went off more when in the vacinity of other moving vehicles in an active parking lot, or near roadways. I'm not sure if some sensor is damaged or what. Didn't matter if the front bumper was facing moving traffic, or the rear bumper was. I mean, it was constantly going off- quite embarrassing. Now that it's back home in the garage, it hasn't gone off for hours. What sensor could be so hyper sensitive under these conditions that it's constantly triggered?

I would imagine the sensor is in the module itself.

Or a loose connection in a handle or latch, affected by nearby vibrations.

I'm going to see what I can scan with the Foxwell, hopeful it'll share some status on KESSY and the individual doors. If not, I guess this will be a PIWIS troubleshooting requirement.

Try this: press the interior monitoring deactivation button, open a door then using a screwdriver or similar tool, latch the door so it thinks it's shut, then arm the alarm, and then shake the door to see if something is loose to set off the alarm. If that doesn't work, tap on the door to see if that sets it off; if that doesn't work, bump or tap the door handle to see if that sets it off. If that doesn't, then repeat the experiment at the next door, and so on, until you have done this to all four doors. No scan tool needed!

Appears my problem was the siren. Read a few posts in the below thread about folks walking away after locking and it would go out. As of tonight, no more chirps or siren. Doors lock just fine and the indicator on the door blinks as usual. Every door is locked, and I can unlock each individual door externally once locked again. Triggered the car and flashers go off, just no noise. Seems my 2013 is on timeline for the siren dying.

I'll follow up here when I eventually replace it if it fixes the problem. Should any current or future Cayenne owner have similar symptoms they have another resource to look at.
