Hi,
I have check engine alarm and my mechanics said I need to replace both front Catalytic Converter - Porsche Exhaust Pipe With Catalyst without TURBOCHARGER after checking in the computer.
I have Porsche Cayenne S 958 2011.
1. Where can I get OEM or used ones with "reasonable" price?
2. Does the replacement are good enough or shall I stick with original?
Parts num are:
958113021AX
958113022AX
Thanks,
Adi

This is the very first time hearing that the catalytic converters have failed on a Cayenne. Before buying new (very expensive) or used (dicey), I would get a second opinion.

Very expensive on eBay.
Also I need to take off what I have and send prior in order to receive better price in the Porsche abroad stores (Core Charge).
I have the Porsche catalog numbers as I specify above. Is there OEM number of the manufacturer which is same as Porsche uses?
Replacement also expensive but 1/3 of the price. Mechanic can't tell me how are they.
So, how good is a replacement? It is quite ridiculous to have a Porsche with replacements parts no?
I agree that there are parts that MUST be genuine and original but is Exhaust Pipe catalyst one of them?

Isn't it dependent on K"m / Milages? I have 206,000 K"M. But Vehicle passed successfully the annual road worthy check like 1 month ago without a problem.
I do have though the "Check engine" light on... Mechanic says it is not the sensor...

FYI - I have had the check engine light come on in the past with codes for both catalytic converters. I find it hard to believe both failed at the exact same time, so I got a bottle of Cataclean additive and ran it through my gas tank. I followed it up with a Techron additive treatment and have never had the codes show up again, and I have zero degradation of performance either. Maybe try this first - it will cost about $30 and can’t hurt anything, but might save you some serious dinero.
