2013 Cayenne GTS -PSM error message
Hi,
150,000 miles on Cayenne, keeps getting pop up error messages stating PSM failure. Had a new battery put in and programmed by dealership, back at shop again now. I don’t understand the technical reason for this, something about carbon deposit in the cylinders that needs cleaning/repair? Can someone better explain this to me and I don’t know my options for its expensive repair. Thanks in advance.

How are carbon deposits on your mind? When your instrument cluster tells you something like that, you plug it in to a capable scanner and then diagnose from there. Or take it to someone who can help.

Following. I have the exact 2 messages on my 2013 GTS w/ 101,000 miles. It started happening a few months ago. Very random and goes away after I turn the Cayenne off and then back on again. I also replaced my battery 2 weeks ago. Believe it or not, mine STILL had the OE battery in it (that’s 11 years old 😲. Then yesterday, up pops those same 2 messages. I’ve read it could be a single sensor somewhere going bad but haven’t had a diagnosis or scan done yet.
