Piggy backing off this thread. Is the 7 pin to flat 4 adapter needed for my 2016 CD a “special to Porsche” size? The adapters I have for my truck seem like a slightly larger diameter?

First be sure you have the adapter to the standard 7 pin setup....most Porsches seem to come without it even after a dealer installed hitch and you need that for anything to work! Once you have that piece it is a standard 7 pin to flat four (just make sure you have the correct RV style 7 pin as there are both round and spade seven pin connectors).

I was very surprise mine wasn't all set to go since our dealer installed the hitch and brake controller... until I read up on it hear and realized that was the norm and those that were all set to go were the outliers. To get one quickly I ended up ordering a Curt product via Amazon. Worked fine (once the dealer programmed the system to work!)
