Default Muffler delete on 2017 Cayenne

I was looking at getting a muffler delete on my 2017 Cayenne Platinum and I was researching online for info on it but couldn’t find anything on it. Anyone know around how much it would cost or if it even sounds good?

Thanks

I can't have butter. The damn cholesterol is too high right now. But yes, crazy how the new members are all feisty. I was young lad once and remember those days. Oh they were fun but not as rewarding as having a group of enthusiasts I consider friends, even though many of us have never met.

Stick yourself with Praluent or Repatha every two weeks, then you can have all the butter you want.

Wonder if it's all the pollen/sand/smoke in the air. Some folks are getting feisty.

And I agree...there are some very savvy and helpful people on this forum (I'm looking at you!)

I'm not sure what your research method is, but considering you probably want to know "if it even sounds good?", I thought audio was important and chose to perform "research" on a multimedia website known as YouTube. By typing in "cayenne muffler delete", I got 10 results in <10 seconds, the first of which had a side-by-side comparison of cold/warm start, revving, driving, and full throttle in under two minutes of playback. The description of that video also notes the expected drone in the cabin for the Cayenne sans muffler. The remaining 9 videos have various permutations of portions of that first video that may be helpful depending on the approach chosen for the "delete".

Cost is really up to you to determine by choosing a method and doing it yourself or calling shops local to you who handle muffler/exhaust work and seeing what they charge for cutting/welding/bypassing, depending on your decision. From the selection of videos I found, you could spend between $10-$6000 where options range from hacksaw to Porsche Sport Exhaust.

I don't recommend the hacksaw approach. 20V DeWalt cordless sawzall is highly preferred. While it's a bit pricey, it's much quicker.

This is you showing respect @lml999 ? You're such a weak "moderator."

I see two hateful posts on here. One is from Bowtie using foul language and calling another member pretty much stupid. The second hateful post is this one calling another member weak. How is anyone going to help out each other in this type of environment where hateful words roll off the tongue so easily. Keep your digs light and friendly as we are all here to learn from each other and make this a better community so that our cars will remain on the road. My post was just something to lighten up the mood. I read lml's as jsut lightening it up a little more. Nothing more nothing less.

I also think lml is an incredibly fair moderator and one of the better one's. Heck, my friend Don would have shut you down in a heartbeat. Ok, rant off. Heading to the beach. Everyone enjoy your day!

Ha, Welcome to Rennlist. I can agree that you're not wrong, as removing the muffler on a luxury vehicle is....well not something I would do. However being your 23rd post, I can only imagine when you get your post count up, will you get more salty or sweet?

Bowtie? Chevy man?

Have a nice day everyone!
