Help - Replacing AC Blower Motor
#16
About to do this tomorrow, if the blower gets here on time. I am going to try and access from underneath only, but am prepping to remove the glove box, just in case. Sounds like a lot of fun, can't wait.

Got the new blower installed. Prior to putting everything else back I fired it up. Fan speed control now works all the way to max!
FYI, I broke the glove box cooling fitting when trying to remove the glove box before I found the 2 screws on the bottom. I tried model solvent cement to glue the fitting back on with no luck. Plumbing ABS cement solved the problem. I put a dab of ABS cement on the bottom of the flat tabs on the fitting and at corresponding locations on the glove box top.

once you have dropped the panel, the blower motor is removed by the screws at the bottom of the assembly. Might as well change the filter out while you are in there. There is a video and instructions out there showing that you need to remove the glove box...WRONG!!!! It is a pain in the *** and serves no purpose...it just makes the job longer than necessary.
