Hi,

I have searched high and low for an answer to this question but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Does anybody know, if a 2016 (or similar ) Cayenne E's battery fails, is it possible to select gas only mode and drive it regularly without the electric assistance?

In other words, if the battery fails, I wonder if its can be "retired" and treated just like an internal combustion engine. (with some extra weight.)

Any insight an owner could provide about this would be great!

Unfortunately no. The hybrid drive is used as the starter motor for the gas engine.
