Sorry guys, a quick one... I thought I would get to some deferred work on my Cayenne. About 3 years ago, the rear drains clogged on the previous owner and resulted in replacement of the Bose Amp etc. I decided to do my 958 duty and clear them out (which is really easy if you have air suspension on the top setting), and opened them up a bit... to see.. Nothing came out.
I guess they are working as designed then? Or do I need to do some more trouble shooting/compressed air etc.
Hi,
12 months ago my left rear was blocked and I lost my Bose subwoofer, completely submerged.
So checked mine last week and they were all clear too.
Probably need to check after some heavy rain just to be sure..
Hi,
rears are easy to access, they are up inside the rear wheel arch. If you have 4-zone aircon you will have 2 drains on the left side (see pic, one for AC and one for sunroof drain) and one on the right.
The fronts are more tricky to access as you have to remove the wheel arch lining and ideally remove the front wheels. Lots of guides on here if you search.

Please may I know how you are checking if the drains are working?
Even after a heavy rain there is all kinds of water drips and drops.
I think I may have novel way of "clearing" the drains anyway! I open the sunroof, at highway speeds, for about 30 minutes. The noise isn't too bad. The few wind gusts one gets is exhilarating
I checked mine when I removed the headliner. It's possible to drop slightly the rear part of the headliner to get the access to the "inlet" hole of the rear drains.
