Default dealership is saying the Porsche CPO warranty is no longer valid. True?

Transferable CPO warranty? And warranty period?

I'm looking at a vehicle with a Porsche CPO warranty, issued in July 2022. The vehicle was bought by an Audi dealership (also at AutoNation, about a mile way from the Porsche dealership). The Audi dealership is now selling the vehicle. And the Audi dealership is saying the Porsche CPO warranty is no longer valid. True?

I am not convinced the Audi dealership knows about Porsche CPO. I emailed Porsche, no reply as yet.

They are correct. CPO is transferrable in a sell/buy between private parties, which this is not.

I suspect that when a Porsche dealer advertises a car as CPO, they will not pay the CPO fee to PCNA until the vehicle has sold to a private party. I am guessing!

Once that vehicle was sold to Audi, the CPO is null and void. The same would be in reverse, if you trade a CPO Audi in at a Porsche dealership, it is no longer CPO.

Service contracts like AudiCare and Porsche VSP do transfer with the vehicle.

Much obliged.

CPO is invalidated but factory warranty remains...considering both are honored by Porsche, the "untimely death" of the CPO is strange isn't it?

More "aggravating" is that the Porsche and Audi dealerships are owned by the same company and are less than mile apart.

I have about six more months on my CPO and I would be much happier driving a car with the CPO. I had the transfer case done. And few others.
